Sharing my journey as a Christian wife, mom, and immigrant in Canada — over 40 and starting fresh!
Hey there!
This checklist is not about the things you must have — it’s about what helped my house feel like a real home after we moved to Canada. I made this list thinking about our daily life, especially with kids at home.
Just so you know: I didn’t buy everything on this list. The things I bought myself have a little star (*) next to them. The other items have Amazon links, so you can check the price and see if it’s worth it. Sometimes we buy something in a cheap store, but the quality is bad… and on Amazon, you can find something better for the same price — or even less.
You don’t need to buy all of this at once — I didn’t. But many of these things are items we were used to before moving, and buying them slowly helped my family feel more comfortable.I hope this list helps you plan your shopping and avoid small surprises that can turn into a big expense later.
If you’re planning to buy some of the things on this list, here’s a tip:
With Amazon Prime, you usually don’t pay delivery fees — and your orders arrive much faster. You can try it free for 30 days, and if you don’t want to keep it, just cancel before the trial ends. Easy!
